Chantal serves clients of Lister Beaupré in all facets of civil litigation, with a special focus on employment litigation and labour law. Chantal has handled a variety of litigation matters before the courts and arbitration boards, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court and the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Chantal also acts for complainants and respondents in human rights matters.
Born and raised in Timmins, Ontario, Chantal moved to Ottawa to complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa. Subsequently, she graduated in 2003 from the French Common Law section of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa. Chantal completed her articles at a large Bay street firm in 2004. She then joined a smaller organization where she developed a strong commercial litigation practice with an expanding expertise in employment law.
Chantal is a member of l’Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO) and of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Chantal also teaches the French employment law course at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law.
Chantal is fluent in French and English, and welcomes the opportunity to serve clients in both official languages.
Outside of work, Chantal enjoys reading novels, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
